Exploring Abstraction through Paint & Collage

Thursdays, January 13 & 20 from 1-4

In this beginner class we will explore different ways of 'seeing' and abstracting work by making hand painted papers that we can then use to cut/tear/glue in a collage manner. We will focus on composition and color. This will be a 'sharing' class in which students are to bring any painting mediums they have on hand as well as any miscellaneous paper and findings that can be used in the final product which may result in small frameable 4”x4” painted collages/mini journal/notecards. This will be a fun and playful class. Do not be intimidated by the word 'abstract'. A supply list will be sent prior to class.

Materials Fee: $7.00 for finishing supplies payable to The Clearing at registration
