Winter Program

Beginning Knitting
Whitney Gross

Mondays, January 17, 24 & 31 from 10-noon

Designed for the complete beginner, someone looking to brush up on their skills, or someone returning to knitting after a hiatus. We will cover all the basics about different fibers and tools used in knitting, how to get started knitting (casting on and doing the knit stitch), and starting your very own project - a scarf, hat, or cowl! You will need 200-400 yards of worsted weight yarn. Students will be able to borrow knitting needles to practice and then purchase their own knitting needles once they decide what project they are going to make. All participants will receive 10% off materials purchased from the class at Knit Whit's Yarn & Crafts in Baileys Harbor.

Tuition: $38

Location: Knit Whit’s Yarn & Crafts, 8024 Hwy 57, Baileys Harbor
