Playing with Suminagashi: Japanese Marbling

Suminagashi is a simple form of marbling, over 1500 years old. It is done with water and ink and creates a lovely pattern using rice papers and two Japanese brushes. Easy to learn, a lifetime to perfect. All materials supplied - bring a roll of paper towels and an 8” or 9” square clear glass or light colored pan that can hold 1 1/2” of water. We will use some of your papers at the second session of the class.
Tuition: $30

Materials Fee: $25.00 for paper, inks and brushes payable to The Clearing at registration
