Introduction to Alcohol Ink PaintingLinda Welch & Yvonne Tyson
Tuesdays, February 1, 8 & 15 from 1-4
Note: This class is also offered on Monday afternoons in January. See class #14.
If you are looking for a new medium to have FUN with, you’ll love this class. Alcohol inks are brightly colored, acid free, dye-based paints that create free flowing textures and design. They are fast drying and evaporate quickly, requiring a non-porous surface such as synthetic paper, ceramic tile, or a specific prepared canvas. The class will look at a variety of techniques painting with alcohol inks on several different surfaces. You will learn the basics to create your own vibrant abstract works of art. (Students will be using 91% alcohol so there will be some fumes in class with adequate ventilation.) A supply list will be sent prior to class.
