Weave a Medium-sized Basket

Basic basket making skills, including laying out a base, weaving up the sides, and completing the rim, are practiced in this class suitable for all levels. Your choice of colors can be used to accent this functional basket, suitable for storage, serving bakery or many other uses. A wood handle finishes the structure of the basket. Finish this with a painted leather medallion of your choice. Finished size is approximately 14” long x 8” wide x 6” high (excluding the handle.) A complete kit will be furnished by the instructor. Students should bring the following supplies to class: dish pan or bucket, old towel, flexible tape measure, several clip clothespins, sharp scissors or garden clipper with thin blades and short handle, small flat screwdriver, a pencil and a plant mister.
