2022 Workshop Program
Learn to Knit in One Day!
June 7 | 9 - 4
Learn the basics of knitting in one day from Whitney Gross, owner of Knit Whit’s in Baileys Harbor. You will learn how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, and read a pattern. Make potholders and washcloths or dishrags. You will take 2 sets of knitting needles home, as well as extra yarn to continue practicing your knitting.
Whitney Gross opened Knit Whit’s Yarn & Crafts in Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin in June of 2019. She has been knitting for over 15 years and is mostly self-taught. Prior to owning the shop, Whitney was a school social worker, where she especially enjoyed the extracurricular activities in which she taught students knitting and sewing basics. It is her greatest thrill to introduce knitting to beginners and to watch them get as excited as she does when picking up their needles and advancing their skills. Whitney enjoys knitting socks, hats, mittens, shawls and, of course, sweaters!
