Cultivating Mindfulness: Growing a Lifelong Practice
October 2 | 9 - 4
More than ever, we need coping tools for daily living. Mindfulness - the ability to focus in the present moment - can help navigate these challenges with more ease, flexibility, creativity and compassion. We will explore and practice focused breathwork, gentle movements, sitting and walking meditations, and guided relaxation sequences. An outdoor woodland hike will lead to an integrative labyrinth walk, and simple writing and creative exercises will round out the day. Come with a sense of curiosity and leave feeling renewed with tools to enrich daily living. All levels of experience are welcome. Please bring a journal/notebook, magazines, scissors, yoga mat, pillow and blanket, and wear comfortable clothes for ease of movement, and sturdy footwear for an outdoor walk. A pre-class letter will be sent.
Beth Coleman has spent her adult life exploring well-being on all levels—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Her garden design business of 22 years, “The Garden Lady” literally grounds her in the cycles of life, and her 200RYT yoga training, Reiki practice and labyrinth facilitator training allow her to help clients and students grow their daily nurturing practices as well.
