Abstract Mini Collage Landscapes
August 22 & 23 | 9 - 4
Abstract art in any form has the power to show us something we may not have seen before. It implies both thought and no thought. Working in a small vertical format, collage papers will be created from found and discarded materials. Students will layer horizontally, building perspective in background, middle ground and foreground. Heat seal method of adhering collage papers will be taught during this class. Instructional packet will be handed out to all students for additional instruction. A supply list will be sent prior to class and is available online at www.theclearing.org.
Laura Lein-Svencner grew up in Downers Grove close to her Grandfather's farm and now resides in Darien, IL. She’s married with four grown children and a home full of loving creatures. Although she has studied drawing, printmaking, sculpture, book arts and the art of hand papermaking, it is the love of paper and design that call her attention. She comes from many generations of Creative Makers working with their hands.
