Workshop Description

Class #22

Drawing: Explore Your Experimental Nature

Kay Brathol-Hostvet

September 12 & 13 | 9 - 4

Drawing is one of the most elemental forms of communication throughout human culture, and the foundation for all of the visual arts. This fun, process-oriented workshop is for those who want to go beyond traditional drawing, expand skills and creativity, and regain the delight they had as children when drawing. Using nature-inspired subjects and ideas, students explore expressive mark-making, exaggeration, distortion, co-operative drawing and the use of non-traditional drawing tools found in nature. Students will be encouraged to work both intuitively and cerebrally, and approach each project with an open mind. No drawing experience necessary! A supply will be sent prior to class and is available online at
