Painting without a Brush

Develop your style of acrylic painting in a whole new way! This class is a great opportunity for discovering the different uses of acrylic paint. Experienced painters will have a chance to develop new techniques and beginners will have a chance to get their feet wet. Learn several brushless techniques of painting to achieve unique effects. Traditional and nontraditional tools will be demonstrated. Students will be invited to work from photographs in any subject they choose to create expressive paintings in this two-day workshop. Beki Borman was born and raised in the Milwaukee area. She attended the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design where she received her BFA in painting in 2004. Beki has exhibited her work both locally and nationally. For Beki's studio work she paints colorful and textural abstract landscapes in oil and acrylics using a combination of painting knife and brush techniques. Some of her influences include Vincent Van Gogh, Wolf Kahn, and Wayne Thiebaud. Beki works out of her home studio in Milwaukee.
