2022 Workshop Program
Joyful Abstraction in Acrylic
October 13 & 14 | 9 - 4
There is joy in color and experimentation! Learn about basic composition, paint handling, and explore color combinations while creating non-representational or abstract paintings in acrylic. Working from small value studies and intuitive design and color, join Kay to create direct, playful paintings. Acrylic is an easy medium for exploration because it dries quickly, allowing for quick changes and layering, and because there are a multitude of mediums available to the artist to modify the texture of your painting. Previous experience with acrylic is not necessary. A supply list will be sent and is available at www.theclearing.org.
Kay Brathol-Hostvet is an enthusiastic instructor bringing a wealth of experiences to the classroom.
