2022 Workshop Program
Photo Fun with Your Phone
October 24 & 25 | 9 - 4
Put away your point-and-shoot camera and pull out your iPhone to create wonderful images. Learn to make the most of your phone’s camera and photo apps with avid photographer Karen Alesch. We will start with photography basics such as exposure, composition, and focus - then move on to an exploration of some of the best apps, and low-cost tools for shooting, editing and creative expression. Half days will be spent in the field taking photos with our phones and learning tips and techniques to capture better images. The second half of each day will be in the classroom, editing our photos on our phone or tablet utilizing a number of photo apps. Karen will demonstrate the apps she uses and work with students to enhance their images. This hands-on workshop is for students of all levels interested in taking better images with their phone. Although the iPhone will be used for demonstrations during the workshop, many of the apps and techniques also work well with an Android phone. Karen will contact students prior to the workshop.
