Here’s a great opportunity for you to gather with others in a stimulating environment to work on what you love—your art!  New students with some quilting knowledge and returning students wishing to experiment with original design challenges are welcome. Come to this class for help in exploring the art quilt, completing works already in progress and for inspiration for starting new ones. The open studio format of this class allows you the freedom to work on any project(s) you choose and to work independently at your own pace in an amazing and inspirational wooded setting.

The learning and sharing among students abounds-meeting you where you are and expanding your perspectives on quilt techniques. Wendy will offer mini teaching sessions and individual instruction, offering input and answering questions as needed.

For this class, you will need a darning foot for free-motion quilting that fits your machine, and you must be familiar and comfortable with your machine and assure it is in good working order. Wendy will contact students prior to class.

A published, award-winning quilt artist and teacher who found her passion for quilting in 1993, Wendy Butler Berns has presented at guilds, retreats, conferences and online both nationally and internationally. Her work and articles have been in many quilt publications, including her own book, Photo Album Quilts, which features her Picture Image Machine Appliqué process. Wendy has been seen on The Quilt Show, Quilting Arts TV and Sewing With Nancy Zieman, and can be found teaching three online courses on Craftsy.
