Class Details
Are you sew curious and have always wanted to try quilting? This intro to quilting class will take you through the basics from picking out colors, reading patterns to sewing and quilting several projects. We will discuss thread, needles, batting, rulers, and other elements of the quilting process as we work through multiple hands-on quilting demonstrations. Students will leave with the basic skills to feel more confident working on their own future projects. This is an entry level quilting class meant for those with little to no experience quilting. A sewing machine is required for class; if traveling, machine rental is available. Kate will contact students prior to class.
Kate LeRoy has been quilting for as long as she can remember, learning the craft from her great grandmother. After years of honing her skills, she fulfilled a dream by purchasing her own quilt shop in Sturgeon Bay, WI, creating a welcoming space for creativity and community. Today, she teaches and lectures across the state, sharing her knowledge, passion, and inspiration with quilters of all levels.
