Step by step watercolor with Door County artist Kari Anderson. Our focus will be capturing the magic of summertime at the Clearing. Flowers, many shades of green. At last…color! Lots of tips for successful watercolors; composition, layering, glazing, shadows, birch trees, reflections and more. There will be a worktable for chopping and folding and weaving…so bring along those stray paintings to re-work. Plenty of one-on-one time to help students advance in confidence with watercolor.
Watercolor artist Kari Anderson was born in Decorah, Iowa in 1956. Oldest of four, her family grew up near Madison, WI in rural Cottage Grove. An associate degree in Commercial Art and Design as well as a passion for watercolor made a perfect combination to pursue a lifetime as an artist. Lots of diversions along the trail….
Marriage, motherhood, grandchildren, pets, renovation of an old one room schoolhouse into a beautiful home are just the tip of the iceberg. Door County has been home base since 1980.
