For several decades, radio essays called “Outdoors with Coggin Heeringa” which explore the connections between the fine arts and nature have been featured on Interlochen Public Radio. Using these essays along with recorded music and images, this class will introduce some of the connections between the visual arts, Broadway musicals, and classical music and the natural history of the Great Lakes region.
