Dedicated to favorite Clearing naturalist instructor Marion Moran and leader emeritus Gloria Dougherty, this will be an evening guided Full Moon Hike on The Clearing property. Accompanied by full moon legends, poetry, nature notes, and owl calls, we will walk in the dark with only moonlight. Nita and Terrie will have flashlights for emergency, but request that no others be used as it limits night vision. Sturdy winter footwear is essential, and a walking stick might be helpful. We will walk on Clearing trails, paths, and roads for up to a mile, depending on conditions. Following the hike, we will warm up with hot chocolate and cedar tea around a bonfire. An email will be sent to participants several days prior to class to confirm conditions.
