As summer’s warmth lingers and the season begins its gentle shift, nature invites us to slow down and savor the golden lull of late summer. This retreat embraces this in-between moment—offering space to reflect, replenish, and reconnect with your creativity before the next season unfolds. Engage in activities that soothe the body, awaken inspiration, and set intentions for the months ahead. Enjoy nature-based art; art journaling; gentle/chair yoga, and guided imagery meditation in a supportive, welcoming environment. No prior experience with painting, drawing, or yoga is necessary.
Art materials will be provided, although you’re welcome to bring your art journal and/or favorite supplies (markers, colored pencils, etc.). Wear comfortable clothing and bring layers, as temperatures may fluctuate throughout the day.
Jodi has a master’s degree in Expressive Art Therapy from Prescott College, where she studied under art therapy pioneers including Pat Allen, Bruce Moon, and Sean McNiff. She holds credentials from the Art Therapy Credentials Board, National Board of Certified Counselors, and certification from the International Yoga Alliance.
Having emerged from her own personal journey and public service orientation, her work as an artist, art therapist and yoga teacher is highly attuned to mental health and community development. She became fascinated with the psychology of group process, particularly at the intersection of creativity and nature, after facilitating numerous group-created public environmental sculpture projects early in her career.
