History
The south cabin was the original settler’s cabin, relocated by Jensen in 1920 and used by his children’s families for vacations. When the school was started in 1935 it became the “boys’ dorm”.
Old photos show a garage east of this cabin, and its logs may have been used to connect the “girls’ dorm”, added on the north in 1938. That dorm was divided into double rooms in the 1970s, and in 2002 the whole complex was remodeled and a new cabin and breezeway were added on the north end.
Today
Today the West Dorm is used as a residence for students and instructors during the Summer Program and during winter retreat weekends. The West Dorm contains several two-person rooms, one three-person room and one five-person room.
